Eagles
Eagles HC Doug Pederson said they had WR Braxton Miller playing cornerback for their scout-team defense in practice this week due to CBs Jalen Mills, Avonte Maddox, Rasul Douglas and Sidney Jones all out with injuries.
“It’s a little challenging because sometimes you won’t get the right look you need in practice, but one of the things our guys have done, and they’ve done well, is their willingness to go out and service and provide the look that we do need,” Pederson said, via Mike Kaye of NJ Advance Media. “A lot of times it’s from your younger receivers.”

Redskins
Redskins S D.J. Swearinger explained that the defense did not do the “simple stuff” correctly in their loss to the Cowboys on Thursday.
“If you don’t do the simple things right, you are going to get embarrassed on national TV. That’s why we don’t get respect as the Redskins. We don’t do the simple stuff right,” said Swearinger, via Jon Machota.
